Experience we look for
- 6+ months of postpartum, newborn, nanny, or maternal health experience
- Experience supporting breastfeeding families
- Knowledge of newborn care, safe sleep, and infant soothing techniques
- Lactation, newborn care specialist, or sleep consultant certification is a plus
- Knowledge of maternal mental health and postpartum mood disorders

Responsibilities
- Assist with newborn care, including feeding support, diapering, soothing, swaddling, bathing, and establishing routines
- Support maternal recovery after birth
- Assist with light household tasks related to the baby and postpartum recovery
- Encourage rest and healthy recovery habits
- Observe and report concerns while remaining within the doula scope of practice
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Document visits according to Astorcare standards
